Who We Are
Prevention Partners Inc. (PPI) is a non-profit 501C-3, which utilizes a community collaborations approach to empower at-risk communities, with improved access to health education, resources, healthcare funding and social support services. We host community-wide health and wellness events in neighborhood Church venues, which allow us to maximize our reach to minority at-risk families, having the greatest needs for health and social support services.
Our Founder, President/CEO, Rose M. Robins Troupe RN, BSM, MPA has 15 + years of experience of successful planning and executing health and wellness programs and initiatives. She has engaged community leaders and Universities in health education initiatives which empower at-risk populations with greater access to community services and resources. She has expertise in forging collaborations with community health and social support service providers, to improve health service delivery systems.
Our motto is “Promoting Better Health One Community at a Time”. We focus on prevention education as the primary motivation to protect and improve our health. We believe in empowering the community with the resources and tools to help them embrace wellness by taking ownership and proactive steps to promote good health. We believe that by improving community’s access to health education and services, we can support greater literacy and understanding of ways to lower risk factors for disease. Early identification and treatment when disease and illness is easier to manage, along with better disease management and medication adherence, can positively impact health outcomes.
Initiatives and Projects
We execute our events with the support of a diverse team of regionally based team Coordinators, community health service providers and corporate volunteers, who share our passion for prevention and understand the unique characteristics of the populations served by our initiatives. Program health services are made possible through partnerships with local community health providers and social support agencies. We network and collaborate with local community health, social services, and University collaborative partners, to further support our community-centered, grassroots programs. Prevention Partners, Inc. community health initiatives are funded by public donations, private organizations, and foundations.
