Welcome to Prevention Partners, Inc

Prevention Partners, Inc. (PPI) is a non-profit 501C-3, which utilizes a community collaborations approach to empower at-risk communities, with improved access to health education, resources, healthcare funding and social support services. We host community-wide health and wellness events in neighborhood Church venues, which allow us to maximize our reach to minority at-risk families, having the greatest needs for health and social support services.

Our motto is “Promoting Better Health One Community at a Time”. We focus on prevention education as the primary motivation to protect and improve our health. We believe in empowering the community with the resources and tools to help them embrace wellness by taking ownership and proactive steps to promote good health. We believe that by improving community’s access to health education and services, we can support greater literacy and understanding of ways to lower risk factors for disease. Early identification and treatment when disease and illness is easier to manage, along with better disease management and medication adherence, can positively impact health outcomes.

July 2011: "Power of Pink" (POP) Summer Camp for Girls 2011, Greensboro, NC July 26 - August 8

POP is a 10 day Summer Camp that invites a diverse group of girls from many backgrounds, who have positive attitudes, great communication and leadership skills, enjoy learning and most of all having FUN!

The camp features fun academics, crafts, and fitness, nutrition and personal development activities for girls ages 8 -12 years. The camp includes road trips and tours to local attractions and parks. Private sponsors fund a portion of the program, which helps to provide materials and equipment for camp activities. For more information call us at: 888-922-8858.

September 2011: Power of Pink “Women & Worship” Luncheon. St. Louis, MO September 25, 2011

Prevention Partners, Inc. will host our first Annual “Power of Pink” Women & Worship Luncheon.The luncheon will promote Breast Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Treatment as our central focus. The luncheon is being planned to be held at the St. Louis History Museum, in Forest Park on Sunday September 25, from 12 pm – 4 pm. The museum has a state-of-the-art auditorium for the presentations and entertainment, and a banquet room for the luncheon.

The event will feature an opening session presented by Health Connections, “Your Personal Wellness Begins with YOU”, followed by panel discussions and presentations on Cancer and Chronic Disease prevention, treatment and disease management by area Physicians,  Community Health providers and Social Civic organizations

October 2011: The Power of Prevention “Senior Support Seminars”- Coming to a Church near You

The "Senior Support Seminars" are a series of community and faith-based seminars, featuring prevention and health education topics, and greater access to community health and social support services for the Elderly. Prevention Partners, Inc. utilizes successful relationships with local, regional and national Church and Clergy Coalitions, along with Health Ministry teams and healthcare providers, to execute this valuable service to the most precious and often, misinformed elderly.  

Community seniors and their supportive care-givers are invited to local Churches to participate in a 2.5 hour program, which provides free healthy snacks, health screenings, disease prevention and management presentations, health and wellness literature, nutrition & fitness activities. Community public and private funding sponsorships support these special “senior- focused” events.
